Albert Gast is the brother of Karl - whom I was told went to "the West" to settle. I am grandson of August Gast, son to Albert. Northside of Chicago is our family and we are in census. Gast married to Schodosky, also St. Luke's as they were German Lutheran, Mo. Synod I think. I have no Germany info and have searched for years. Do you have any prior to U.S. immigration? These two young men may have been escaping the Kaiser's Army - Prussia and I've been told in Berlin. Any more info? Mike Gast
