Eleanor,
Robert Shipley deeded Sary's Dowry to his daughter Sarah w/o Nicholas Gassaway and to the heirs of her body, namely Benjamin Gassaway. In Nicholas's will he left Talbot's Resolution Manor jointly to Benjamin, Richard, and Robert. These 3 men bought and sold land to each other in Baltimore & Fredrick Co's. It is more likely that they are full brothers and not half brothers. Richard sold land in Frederick Co in 1769 and he was married at that time so he had to be born @1748. As Robert Shipley's deed to Sarah was in 1747 it is more likely that she was his mother.
Brenda
