According to "Genealogical History of the Gassaway Family," Mary is daughter of Nicholas Gassaway b. 2/6/1697; d. 1767. If your Mary was born 1709/10, then he could not be her father. Nicholas' will in 1767 stated Mary Gassaway, not Mary Aldridge. So she may not be his daughter.
