there are two families from ireland,one was mary gass whbrought her children to green co tn & her son was in congress, not the same a s john gass family who recided in pensylvania, that one was from river bann antrim irelans & his son benjamine was born there in 1700 & his grandson was patrick who was on the Lewis & clark expedition.
