Clemma Gass Cox, 69, of Durham-Hensley Care and
Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Chuckey, Washington Co
TN, died Sunday at Takoma Regional Hospital, Greeneville,
Greene Co TN.
Mrs. Cox attended New Haven Church for as long as her
health permitted.
She was the widow of Willie Ray Cox, her husband of 39
years who died November 22, 1999. She was also preceded in
death by her parents, Thomas and Azalee McAmis Gass; and
two brothers.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Cox, Gary Cox, and
Roger Cox, all of Chuckey, TN; four grandchildren, Jessica
and Eric Lutz, Eric, Brandon Cox, Rachel Cox, and Nathan
Cox, all of Greene Co TN; and a first cousin, Kyle Smith
of Chuckey, TN.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.,
Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday,
February 18, 2009, at New Haven Church with interment in
GraceLand Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Ronnie Baxter will
officiate.
The body will be taken to the church to lie in state for
one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Jeff
Peters, Phil Peters, Eric Lutz, Ricky Smith, Shane
McMurray, and Tim Bowers.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is serving the Cox family.
