Anna Lee Keller Gass, 93, of Woodlawn Drive, Greeneville,
Greene Co TN, and formerly of the Ottway community, died
Sunday, October 5, 2008, at her home.

She was a homemaker and a member of Ottway United Methodist
Church.

She was also a member of the Cross Anchor Family and
Community Education club, where she was faithful in all
areas as long as her health permitted, her family said.

Her family also stated she was a loving mother, grand-
mother, and great-grandmother not only to her children but
also to many others who knew her as 'Ma Gass.'

She was the daughter of the late Ross and Minnie King
Keller and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry T.
Gass; two sons, Joe E. Gass and Kyle R. Gass; four
brothers, Jay Keller, Carl Keller, Fred Keller, and John R.
'Buck' Keller; and two sisters, Nelle Hull Seneker and
Blanche Smith.

Survivors include one son, Tommy Gass; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Joyce and R. P. Whittenburg of Mosheim, TN,
and Mitzi and Roger House of Greeneville, TN; a daughter-
in-law, Shelby J. Gass of Greeneville, TN; her grand-
children and their spouses, Alan and Kim Gass, Cline and
Lisa Everhart, and Lee Anne and Tim Shelton, all of
Greeneville, TN, Holly and Billy Goodrich of Mosheim, TN,
Tonya and Bill Cowman of Mainsville, OH, Denny and Leslie
Smith of Powell, and Amy and Tim Clark of Jonesborough,
TN; her great-grandchildren, Cline Allan, Bryan Thomas,
Christopher Everhart, Zachary Gass, Grace Gass, Brock
Shelton, Blair Shelton, Zack Goodrich, Addison Goodrich,
Seth Cowman, Ben Cowman, Ian Clark, and Leah Clark;
special nieces and nephews, Betty Solomon, Janet Weems,
Larry Keller, Harold Keller, Carman Brotherton and Ginger
Goings; special friends, Bob Foulks, Mildred Dearstone,
Jennifer Dunn, Betty Sams, Jonathan Richie, Barbara Weems,
Bea Reed, and Jim and Doris Britton; and a special friend
of the family, Pauline Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday,
October 7, 2008, at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
October 8, 2008, at Ottway United Methodist Church.

The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30
minutes preceding the service. The Rev. Homer Roller, the
Rev. Donna Waddle, and the Rev. Jonathan Richie will
officiate.

Interment will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Dearstone, Tim Dearstone, Chucky
Casteel, Donnie Solomon, Rob Britton, Carol Thompson,
Johnny 'Tarp' Thompson and Craig Gaby.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Diez D'Aux, Dr.
Jamie Oakley and staff, the staff of Caris Hospice, the
members of Ottway United Methodist Church, Robin Solomon,
and Jason Jones.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ottway United
Methodist Church, in care of Nancy Casteel, 1410 Kenneytown
Road, Greeneville, TN 37745.
