adding a bit more info: My paternal grandfather was also a Robert Gaskin, and he was living on Wolfe Island (off Kingston)when he married to (I think) Grace Bamford, who was raised on the Island. My father had an uncle with the last name DeVolson who owned a farm on the Island. My branch of the family eventually moved to the Buffalo, NY area. My aunt Margaret (Davidson) to Syracuse, and aunt Isabell to Wappinger Falls. Any input on these people will be much appreciated.
