I am really interested in this Gaskin family. I may be related to this Gaskins on my father's side. I am definitely related to the Ezekiel Gaskins family on my mother's side. We are descending from the John McAllister who m. Catherine Gaskins line. My Gordon and Lacey families seem to have married into the Gaskins line in Williamsburg Co SC. I have never found my Gordons in the census for SC. Reminds you of Ezekiel Jr. doesn't it? There is a huge family of Gordons there, which were enumerated, but none of them seem to be relating to me. There is a land transaction in Wmsburg Co. where land granted to Ezekiel Gaskins Jr.is signed off by a Joshua Gaskins and my ancestor William Lacey in 1806 or so, I believe (don't have it in front of me. I have never seen a list of E, Jr's children. Has anyone been able to compile any records of them? I believe maybe William Lacey married one of E. Jr's. daughters or he may be a grandson of E. Jr. in which case maybe William's mother was a Gaskins. Anyway, William Lacey's daughter Elizabeth married my James Harvey Gordon and named their son Wright Gordon. I am wondering how they all fit together. I also have some info from the book "Burch, Harrell and related lines" that I will look up when I get home. It may shed some light on the relationship of the Harrell family anyway. Janice
