You seem to have established that Wright Harril and John Harril are grandchildren. Their birthdates of l784 and l792 seem to rule out Amos Gaskins as their father, assuming that there was only one Amos back at that time. Amos the Tory was killed by Francis Marion's troops at Tearcoat Swamp in October, l780, taking him out of the picture. Was he the Amos who got the land grant in l77l? That grant was located in what is now Darlington County, S.C. a few miles south of Hwy 52 on High Hill Branch. See Darlington County Deed Book B, page 283, Michael Hill sale of a part of 150 acres granted to Amos Gaskins 12-10-1771. I had assumed, without any research, that Amos was the father of the individuals listed in the will. Could he still be the grandfather, uncle or cousin?
