Hi Harold, You are right about the Edward Jr. branch not being covered much in forums. My Gaskill line starts like yours: Edward Gaskill, b. ca. 1603 - 1690 Samuel Gaskill (2), b. 7 June 1639 Edward Gaskill (3), b. 23 October 1667 Then my line branches to, Samuel Gaskill, b. 08 Feb 1701/02 Ebenezer Gaskill, b. Abt. 1742 Ebenezer Gaskill, b. 09 Mar 1777 William Gaskill, b. 07 Dec 1803, to his son, Samuel Wright Gaskill, b. 25 Jan 1834, who m. his cousin, Phoebe Ann Gaskill, b. 27 Mar 1840, daughter of, William's brother, Joseph Henry Gaskill, b. 14 Oct 1811 Then, the son of Samuel & Phoebe is, John Millich Gaskill, b. 04 Jan 1860 Earl Ray Gaskill Gwendolyn Grace Gaskill and finally to me. I am curious -- How did Job Gaskill, b. 1733, when only eight years old, have a son Thomas Gaskill, b. 1741? Elizabeth Koleda's "Gaskill Genealogy", pub. 1989, lists some different ancestry for Shreve Gaskill than that which you have listed. Of course, Koleda made a few errors, like the incorrect year of my marriage on page 185u. Let me know if you want any further from Koleda's book. Best wishes, John Denning Notify Administrator about this message?
