Looking for information on Samuel Gaskill <1790-1850?> of Cookstown (Fayette City), Fayette Co, PA. Husband to Sarah Devenport, whose status in 1850 was widow. Father to William, Samuel Devenport, James E., John, two other sons not listed in Sarah Gaskill will. Samuel was I believe the oldest son of Budd Gaskill. Koleda book on this family line is not consistent with local tax records. Descendents of John's line still live in Fayette and Washington CO's, PA. James E. Gaskill moved to Kansas. William's family may have moved to Parkersburg, WV. My grandmother had cousins there, but they were not aware of who their grandfather Gaskill was. Sam D. died prior to 1866.
