Regarding Charles Gaskill and Bathsheba Stackhouse, married 10 Oct 1805 in Burlington Co, NJ, we recently found someone who had an old Gaskill family Bible Bible and found whom we believe to be my Charles Gaskill entered in it as the son of an Aaron Gaskill and Edith (last name unknown) of the New Hanover Twp., Burlington Co., NJ area. The following entries were found in this Gaskill family Bible: 1 Aaron Gaskill Born: June 14, 1759 d: November 14, 1817 +Edith Unkown Maiden Born: November 06, 1762 ... 2 Charles Gaskill Born: August 30, 1783 d: June 10, 1857 (we believe this is my line, this being Charles Gaskill who married Bathsheba Stackhouse) ... 2 Savannah Gaskill Born: March 30, 1785 ... 2 Elizabeth Gaskill Born: May 06, 1787 d: 1787 in in her infancy ... 2 Amy Gaskill Born: December 15, 1789 ... 2 Mary Gaskill Born: January 1791 ... 2 Aaron Gaskill Born: May 18, 1793 ... 2 Haneet Gaskill Born: December 02, 1795 ... 2 Bodg Gaskill Born: November 05, 1798 ... 2 Edith Gaskill Born: February 15, 1802 ... 2 Abraham Gaskill Born: February 07, 1805 in NJ We believe the above father Aaron Gaskill to have been the Aaron who was grandson of Jacob Gaskill and Suzanna Budd and the son of their son Aaron Gaskill and Susanna Merritt, but we need proof yet. Finding this old family Bible was a long awaited and major breakthrough for one step forward on my mysterious Gaskill-Stackhouse line. Charles Gaskill and Bathsheba Stackhouse were married in Burlington Co., NJ by a Rev. Thomas Budd whom I believe is most likely the Rev. Thomas Budd, buried 1809 at St. Mary's. I believe this Rev. Budd to be the Rev. Thomas Budd who married Charles Gaskill and Bathsheba Stackhouse in 1805 in Burlington Co., NJ. This would, pending further proof, This would place my Charles Gaskill in the New Hanover Twp., Burlington Co., NJ area. I think this is in the Pemberton area and please correct me if I'm wrong since I'm not very familiar with NJ areas. The "Bodg" above is illegible in the Bible. It is possible Charles, son of Aaron and brother to Abraham, is my Charles. He could have easily gone to Ohio in 1820 as my family history says he did (he would have been 37 years old) and Abe followed later. There were 22 years between Charles and Abe which would account for people not realizing they were brothers instead of in different generations. I am seeking any possible info on my Charles Gaskill and Bathsheba Stackhouse. I have their marriage record and records of them after they show up in Guernsey and Coshocton Co OH in 1820.
