I just received the Atlantic County Historical Society writeup on this from the
Atlantic County Library. I have several pages of a 1986-87 volume for which I thank them.

"Samuel Gaskill arrived on the scene. He was born Feb 22, 1812 and living at Bargaintown. Gaskill came to Mays Landing in 1858."

Thereafter is a retelling of the story of a number of the scooners (ships) he built. The last he built was in 1885. I don't see his death noted in this minihistory.

GAskill Park is Atlantic County Park built on hte site of George Wheaton's shipyard.facing the Great Egg Harbor. The park was created by filling.

regards.
