Don't have very much about Harriet but here's her parents:
1. JOSEPH E. was born 1806 in IL, and died 1852. He married (1) MAHALA RIGGIN 13 March 1828 in Madison Co. IL. He married (2) LUCINDA SMART 03 January 1841 in Madison Co. IL.

Joseph and Mahala had settled before 1830 on a farm in Marine, Madison
Co. Illinois near Albert Riggin, presumbably Mahala's brother. When
Joseph died of consumption (tuberculosis) he owned a grocery store in
Alton. Seth, by his first wife, and all four of his children by Lucinda
Short died young. It's possible they all had consumption.

Mahala, his mother died, after giving him birth. He died at age 28,
unmarried.
