Gaskills,
Our Amanda Gaskill is only known to have been selected as a wife by a Daniel Harris in the early 1850s. She was probably in a 'home' for girls in, possibly, Philadelphia. Daniel and Amanda settled near Atchinson, KS in a 185?.
We have the line from there, but nothing on Amanda before she was selected by Daniel. Amanda is my wife's great, great grandmother. Our oldest daughter is named after Amanda.
Any information would be appreciated.
