We too are searching for Edward Gascoigne (gaskoyne, gaskill, gaskile, gaskell) and his parents. My husband is a direct descendent of Edward. Family lore has always supported that Edward was a French huguenot and there is some information that he was born in Gascony, France. In those days, very few could read and/or write and many times their names were spelled as they sounded to the writer. We would appreciate any information that you might have come across about Edward.
