Henry Gascoigne did NOT marry Mrs. Ann (Hobbs) Mompesson at Salisbury Cathedral on 22 May 1589. There is NO KNOWN marriage date or place of marriage. However, they were married according to the Wiltshire Visitation records for 1623, but not at Salisbury Cathedral on this date.
The Wiltshire Parish records state that Thomas Mompesson married Ann Hobbs 22 May 1589 at ST. EDMUNDS in Salisbury. This date and place match the Wiltshire Visitation records for 1623.
