Thanks - that puts Richard in my family tree somewhere. Clement was born in Deddington and his family moved to Warwickshire. I will look up Donna too many thanks Jean McVey By the way there is a William Gascoigne mentioned on the war memorial at Hampden in Arden - I found it when I was over last year - he is another descendant somewhere along the line - my grandfather Richard's brother. The name Richard is carried down through the family as also is Ellis.
