I don't know if this helps as it is a very loose connection but I have a distant relative called ?Mercy or Nancy Gascoigne from Rawdon near Leeds. She married William Langley and their children were Hilda, Amy and Emily. Hilda was my grandmother and married Harry Bailey, they had one daughter - Shirley my mother. I would like to know more about the Gascoigne side of the family. Were they French?
