Tom Gascoigne, my father, was born in West Hartlepoole, England, in 1900, married Elsie Johnson of Nottingham, in 1920. Both parents moved to Canada and had 4 children, Barbara, Sheila, Pat and Robin.
Tom's father, my grandfather, is Frederick Gascoigne. Frederick owned racing stables and pubs in England.
