Hello Doris I have no idea where my Robert G came from although I think Rawdon WRY as I have found a family with the same naming pattern going back 5 generations. Althogh they were a large family no one is researching them,as a William Gascoigne a wool merchant & Sir William Gascoigne a knight married in the same church. Sir William,s line died out in the early 1900,s I worked in Wrotham in the 1950,s & courted a local girl a Knight who told me her Grandmother said not to go out with a Gascoigne as one had done her family wrong years before. If you ever find a Robert Gascoigne occupation Musician please inform me Bob Gascoigne
