I think Charles may have been from Sutton Bonnington, Nottinhamshire. He would have been born about 1845 if I have found the correct family in the 1881 census. I think that it is quite possible as I was originally told that Mary had married a Charles Gascoyne but was told that the "oig" in the name could have been mistaken for "oy".
Also, the age of Mary is consistant with my info and her children listed in the 1881 census: Oliver, Samuel and Albert all go along with family names. Her mother was originally Sarah Oliver and my grandfather was also named Oliver. My grandfather also had a brother and a son named Albert. I am told that Israel Mee had an uncle Samuel but I have not been able to prove that yet, but if he existed, then he would have been Mary's brother. Therefore, the names of the children seem to go along very well with family names.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
