I am researching (de la) Garzas from the Corpus Christi area. Before my great-grandfather moved to Corpus, he lived near the Rio Grande City area. My great-grandfather, MARGARITO GUTIERRES (de la) GARZA was born in 1860 in Hacienda de Ramos (after 1880 this town's name changed to Doctor Gonzales), Nuevo Leon, Mexico. My father, MARGARITO CHAPA GARZA was named for his grandfather and was born in Corpus in 1931. He was a district judge. He died in 1995. If you think you have a connection to my family, I would certainly love to hear from you. I have information on my father's line back to 1797 in Monterrey, Mexico, but I am missing about 100 years before I can tie into MARCOS ALONSO's decendants. Thanks.
