My father once told that during time he was
trying to find his relatives in Monterey Mexico he received a threatening letter. The letter was from a lawyer's office in that city. My father, being the person that he is , did not pursue with his search and abandoned his efforts. He also told me that his mother and sister, as was he, were exiled from there home in Monterey when his father died some time in the late 1800s. Some how his mother, Estela Garza, manage to immigrate to San Antonio where they made their home. He was deeply hurt when he received the threathening letter because he could understand why the Garzas in Monterey Mex. did not want him to find information regarding his family. I have always wondered myself - could there have been foul play? Who knows it does not really matter now. My father's name is Henry (Enrique) T. (Tejerina) Garza. Maybe there is information in file under this name.
