Mike, I dont know much about the origins of names and such ,so you are more than likely correct. but the original name that goes back to the early 1770's in Nacogdoches was originaly Y'barvo w/a V. anyway there are some Ybarras in Nac. that claim to be descendants of the great Gil Y'barvo so I give them the benefit of a doubt. thanks for participating and I look forward to learning more about Garza name origins................Antonio Garza Jr. IV
