Searching for family of gg-grandfather, Juan de la Garza (anglicized to John Delagarza when naturalized in 1878, East Feliciana Parish, LA), b. 12/27/1843 in Marin, Mexico (godparents were Don Faustino de la Garza and Dona Juliana Villareal), d. 11/17/1896 in LA. Married to Mary W.A. Waller 9/1/1869 in LA. Last correspondence from his family was from Pesqueria Chica, Mexico, dated 2/18/1873. Father signed his name "Buenaventura de la Garza" but on a slip of paper also included he added "Villareal." He names other family members: brothers, Benjamin "on the coast," Matias and Ponciano (in Monterrey), and possible sisters, Benjamina and Ferecita. He also lists uncles (no last names) Javier, Alejandro, Felipe, Julian and Santiago who have passed away at the writing of the letter.
