I would say there hs to be a connection here between Justus whitcomb Gary born 1820's NY and Edwin Alonzo Gary born 1832 NY. The fact that Justus names a son Edwin Alonzo, and that Justus Gary's other son, James Morris Gary also lives in Macon Co. MO for a brief time. Some other possible connections, in Steuben Co. Indiana is Lorin Francis Gary born in Rochester, Ulster Co. New York in 1828, died in Clear Lake, Steuben Co. Indiana. James Morris Gary named a son Earl Francis Gary, and the Justus Gary lived in Steuben Co. Indiana for about 10 years 1850s-60s. Also there is an Enos Gary in Van Buren Co. Michigan born 1828 in New York. Enos has a son born in 1869 named Lorin Gary. Justus Gary's wife, Cornelia "Jane" Olmstead was from Vn Buren Co. Mcihgian. Here is an Obituary from Lorin Francis Gary of Steuben Co. indiana.
