Hi,
I'm looking for some Gary's that go way back. I am not sure if anyone can help. My great, great grandfather was William Harvey Gary, birth and death date unknown. I assume he was born around 1780 to 1820. He married a full blood cherokee indian named Lacresia. She had no last name. She died in 1925. They had at least 2 children. A son whom I know nothing about and a daughter named Elizabeth Ann Gary. Elizabeth is my great grandmother. She married William Issac Warnell in 1888. Together they had 12 children, 6 boys and 6 girls. Elizabeth was born in 3/16/1875 & died 3/29/1961. William Warnell was born in 8/1/1867 and died in 11/10/1957. They did live in Smith County Tx. for a while but then they moved to Dequincy, La. They are buried in the alston cemetary in Dequincy, La. in an unmarked grave. I am trying to find any information on William & Lacresia Gary and their son. I do know that the son had his stomach slit open by Elizabeth's 12 yr. old son William David Warnell. I also know that he lived in Dequincy, La. for a while because this is where the incident happened. He did not die from the wound. I need information on Lacresia's parents (cherokee) and on William Gary's. Also if anyone knows who the son was, if he married and if he had children. I would greatly appreciate it.
