Dear Clayton, I just responded to your message of November 22 and I just checked one of your older messages of 22 May 2002. You were asking about a David Garvie born on June 20,1848 in Huron North, Ontario. He is one of my ggranduncles. If you look to the response I just posted today, 1 December 2002-ah shucks, I’ll just copy it to here so you don’t have to go scrambling. Here is what I wrote to you (on 1 December 2002): Dear Clayton, There may be a connection. The David Garvie I have was born about 1816 in Scotland and married to a Mary unknown. They had ten children, among them a William born in 1851 and Andrew born in 1864. The dates don’t match yours, but, among those ten children was another David, who was born 20 Jun 1848 in Ontario, Canada. He would have been about 36 years old at the time your David (great grandfather) was born. It’s possible that he had children and gave them names of his uncles including William and Andrew. My great grandmother, Ann Jane Garvie was born in 1853 in Ontario also and she could have been an aunt of your David. Unfortunately I don’t have any information for ancestors of the David Garvie who was born in Scotland. I don’t have any spouse infor for any of that family. This would be really exciting if I finally found a connection. Do you have any information about any ancestors of your David beyond his parents David (born 1816) and his wife Mary? Sincerely, Shirlee Mays Notify Administrator about this message?
