Hello,

In doing research on my Putman line of my family. I have a 2nd Great Aunt Rhoda Putman who married Franklin M. Garvey in Lapeer, Michigan in July 1865.

I just found today that they Adopted a son by the name of Frederick Sharp in 1872. Looks like Frederick was from Flint. However I have not found them together in any Census.

I did see Franklin in a Census with a new wife in 1880 census. Her name is Amine. 2 children are also listed. Frank E. Garvey 2 yrs old & Edna 4 months old.

Franklin M. Garvey did serve in the Civil War 1863 - 1865 He may have been a POW.

I cannot find a follow up for the adopted son Frederick Sharp. Nor can I find a death date for Rhoda.

If you can help me shed light on this Family please contact me.
