Annette Garvey of Des Plaines A funeral service for Annette Garvey, 80, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Born March 1, 1926, in Sterlington, La., she died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, in Des Plaines. Annette was employed at Marsh McClennan and Garvey Mailing. She was a member of St. Luke Church, the Self Help Food Pantry in Des Plaines and St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Chicago. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jean (John) Lopez, Fred (the late Shelly) Garvey III, Carol (John) Nordquist, Sara (Rich) Bartkowicz, Marian Rigsby and Lynn Sutherland; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred A. (Betty) Garvey Jr.; and sisters, Ethlyn and Mary. Memorials may be made to St. Luke Cemetery, 2649 N. Fransico, Chicago, IL 60647.
