GARVEY (the whale Garvey)

This is going to be the absolute long shot of the century I think, but here goes nothing.
I have recently come across a member of my family named Annie Slattery born around 1880-1886ish give or take a few years either side. Her father was Patrick Slattery and her mother ? Tierney. Sometime in the early 1900s she met and married a ? Garvey (the Whale Garvey) who was in the Diplomatic Core in Ireland. They in turn had a daughter b.early 1900s name unknown to me at this time, she later met and married a man named ? Walker, they had a son named 'Dinky' Walker, who was a musician, sometime in the 40s/50s. They all came from Ennis Co. Clare Ireland. Do any of these names ring a bell? Any information would be gratefully received as I have said this is a very long shot, but hopefully the unusual nicknames may help.
