Gartrell Family Genealogy Forum
Just a thought! Would you "Hallum" possibly be "Kellum"? I have seen our name spelled many ways - Killum/Kelham/Callum/Killiam - for starters.
Our Kellum's where in Columbia Co., GA by 1801. They moved on to Warren Co., GA where several of them married and then settled in Talbot Co., GA by 1830 census. I believe that the Kellum ancestor was from Accomack Co., VA and moved throught Hyde Co., NC before buying land in Craven Co., NC in 1756. George Kellum, Sr., married Rachel Booty in 1792/Craven Co., NC, and their son, Archibald Kellum married a Martha Wynn/Wynne in Warren Co., GA in 1815. Could our Martha Wynn be related to Robert Wynn and the Gartrell's? Do not have siblings of Archibald, but Melinda could be a niece!
