I have been asking for help on the Welles line. My bad. I trusted in Mormon sites, knowing full well that they are not trustworthy. Mormon doctine teaches that once the Prophet has spoken all thinking is done.

The Prophet has declared false genealogies to be true and you will find them on Mormon sites everywhere. Thomas Welles married Joanna Barrington. Well, guess what, a hard core Mormon site has her father's line back to a royal conncection, despite the fact that no records exist to support this. (note, as a side, I am an expert on Mormon doctrine, having studied it for years).

Documentation, documentation, documentation. I deserved what I got and all the wasted time I put in. It appears I can't trace my line of Wells back beyond John Wells and Cecilia. Would love to if anyone has documentation.

So sorry for any misleading information

Leland Garton
