My workbook in nearly 1000 pages long at this point, but I wanted to post a few samples for review and comments. Still a work in progress and I catch typos, mistakes, etc.

Amaury Raoul D'Albetot - was born in 1066 in Lincolnshire, England and died after 1096 .
Amaury - The name Spencer or DeSpencer comes from the Latin dispensarius, or 'le dispencer' in Norman French, according to historians. The term 'spence' also means a kitchen. However the intended meaning of Spencer was 'Steward' or Stewart', one who is entrusted with the management of property and finances, and that surname also derives from the same source. 1392, that the De Spencer family dropped the French appellation De, and simply became known as Spencer.
Robert Despencer - also known as: d'Arbetot - was born before 1086 in Lincolnshire, England. He is the son of Amaury Raoul D'Albetot. Robert - One of the Norman knights, who accompanied William's order of knights, was Robert the Dispencer. He had fought along side William in his invasion of England, and was rewarded by William for his support with land grants in County Bedford. His children who took the surname, married into the royal blood which descended from English, French and Spanish royalty lines. In 1086 Robert was granted the Motte and the Bailey Castle in Tamworth Burgess.
William Talvas Montgomery le Despenser was born in 1100 in of Elington,Lincolnshire,England. He married Alix Ala de Burgundy born in 1102. in Elington, Lincolnshire, England. She is the daughter of Duke Eudes Borel I de Bourgogne and Sibylle de Bourgogne.
Thurstan le Despenser was born about 1122 in of London,Middlesex,England.

Hugh Despencer - was born in 1152 in Ryhall, Rutlandshire, England and died in 1199
Thomas Despencer - was born about 1169, lived in Elington. Lincolnshire, England. married unk. was born about 1172, lived in Rhyale, Futlandshire, England.

Hugh Despencer born about 1180 in of Ryhall,Rutlandshire,England. He died on 23 Feb 1237/1238 in Sibsey & Aukborough,Lincolnshire. He married De L'Isle.

Lord Hugh II le Despenser of Falmouth was born on 5 Aug 1223 in Rhyall,Rutland,Wales. He died on 4 Aug 1265 in killed Battle of Evesha,Gloucs,Eng. He was buried in Thetford Abbey,Eng,. He married about 1260 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. Countess of Norfolk Iline (Aline)Basset was born in 1241 in Wooten Basset, Wiltshire, England. She died before 11 Apr 1281 . d/o Sir Philip Basset born about 1190. He died on 29 Oct 1271. and Hawise de Louvaine born about 1208. She died in 1219/1296.
Sir Hugh Earl of Winchester le Despencer born on 1 Mar 1260 in Winchester, Hampshire, England and died on 27 Oct 1326 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England. 1261-executed Bristol Castle 27 Nov 1326). Lord le Despencer 1295. He was created Earl of Winchester in 1322. The Chronica de Fundatoribus et Fundatione of Tewkesbury Abbey records that “Hugo primus” was killed “apud Brystolliam VI Kal Nov in castello 1326”[55]. The earldom was forfeited on his death. m (1286 of before) as her second husband, ISABEL de Beauchamp, widow of Sir PATRICK de Chaurces [Chaworth] (ancestor) , daughter of WILLIAM de Beauchamp Earl of Warwick & his wife Maud FitzJohn (-before 30 May 1306). m before 1286 Isabel de Beauchamp born about 1252, lived in Warwick, Warwickshire, England. She was the daughter of William de Beauchamp and Maud Fitzgeoffrey. She died about 30 May 1306 in Emley Castle, Worcestershire, England .
Hugh - supported King Edward I in the war against his rival, the Earl of Lancaster. He served in the Welsh war but was fined 2,000 marks because he married, without the king's license, Isabel, daughter of William Beauchamp, earl of Warwick, the widow of Patrick of Chaworth.

He accompanied Edward to Scotland and fought in the Battle of Dunbar (I) and the expediition against Flanders in 1297. The King used him to negotiate for peace between Edward I and the King of the Romans and the King of France.

He served again in Scotland and then was sent to negociate with France which led to the peace of 1303. In 1305 he was sent to see Pope Clement V at Lyons and obtained a Papal bull which absolved King Edward from the oaths he had been forced to take to his people. When Edward II was coronated as King, Hugh carried part of the royal insignia. He defended the king's favorite, Gaveston, in 1308 against the league of barons, which alienated him from the barons who regarded him as a deserter from their cause.

Hugh le Despencer born on 1 Mar 1260/1261 in Barton, Gloucestershire, England and was hanged for treason on 24 Nov 1326 in Hereford, Herefordshire, England . (-executed Hereford 24 Nov 1326, bur Tewkesbury Abbey). Lord le Despencer 1314. The Chronica de Fundatoribus et Fundatione of Tewkesbury Abbey records that “Hugo secundus, camerarius Regis Edwardi de Karnarvan et maritus dominæ Elianoræ de Clare” was killed “1326 in vigilia sanctæ Andreæ apostolic apud Herefordiam”, hanged, drawn and quartered without trial, and buried “in nostra ecclesia”. m as her first husband after 14 Jun 1306 in Westminster, London, Middlesex, England Eleanor de Clare born Oct 1292 in Caerphilly Castle, Caerphilly, Glamorganshire, Wales. She was the daughter of Sir Gilbert "The Red Earl" de Clare and Joan of Acre. She died on 30 Jun 1337 in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, Wales .

Isabel le Despencer. M 9 February 1320/21. Richard FitzAlan, 10th Earl of Arundel born circa 1313. He died on 24 January 1376 at Arundel Castle, Arundel, Sussex, England.6 He was buried at Lewes Priory, Lewes, Sussex, England. He was the son of Edmund Fitzalan, 9th Earl of Arundel and Alice de Warenne. ISABEL ([1312]-). m (1321, annulled 1344) as his first wife, RICHARD FitzAlan, son of EDMUND FitzAlan Earl of Arundel & his wife Alice de Warenne ([1313]-Arundel 24 Jan 1376, bur Lewes Priory, Sussex). He was restored as Earl of Arundel in 1330, known as "Copped Hat".

Richard FitzAlan, 10th Earl of Arundel also went by the nick-name of 'Copped Hat'.3 He held the office of Justiciar of North Wales in 1334.3 He held the office of Governor of Carnarvon Castle in 1339.3 He held the office of Admiral of the West from 1340 to 1341.3 His marriage to Isabel le Despenser was annulled on 4 December 1344 by Papal mandate, supposedly on the grounds that they were married during their minority, and without their consent. The reality is that the Earl probably wished to be rid of his wife, who had no value to him after her father's attainder and exectution.3 He held the office of Sheriff of Shropshire in 1345.3 He held the office of Admiral of the West between 1345 and 1347.3 He fought in the Battle of Crécy on 26 August 1346, where he commanded the 2nd division.3 He fought in the fall of Calais in 1347.3 He succeeded to the title of 10th Earl of Arundel [E., C. 1138] in 1347.1,7 On 30 June 1347 he succeeded to the vast estates of the family of Warenne.3 He succeeded to the title of Earl of Surrey on 12 April 1361.8

Isabel FitzAlan. was born about 1332, lived in Corfham, Shropshire, England. M about 1352. John le Strange Lord of Blackmere, born on 13 Jan 1332 in Whitechurch, Shropshire, England and died on 12 May 1361 .

Ankaret le Strange b abt 1361, Blackmere, Herefordshire, England, d 1 Jun 1413. m bef 23 Aug 1383, Richard Talbot Lord Talbot, son of Sir Gilbert Talbot and Petronella Butler.
