I hate to commit without looking at the census records again, but I would guess that's correct. The family did spell Cuddon as Cudden. I don't know why. The family name they were carrying down is Cuddon. Just like Zachariah often having the "h" left off. Or Zachariah being called Tocheria after a mistake in the history of Buchanan Co. It may have been a nick name used as a joke, who knows. We do know that he had another name but not sure what it was. My father said it was most likely another Bible name as this branch early on was fond of using double Bible names for the men, as in Uriah Ezra Garton.
