Notice to Gartner researchers

The name 'Gartner' is obviously quite common. For example, the 1902 city directory for Vienna Austria lists about seventy different families (none of which are mine). For the past thirty years, I have been extensively researching the Gartner ancestry in villages near Flieden, Kreis Fulda, in Hessen, Germany. These ancestors came from villages such as Rommerz, Ruckers, Flieden, Magdlos, Weiperz, Veitsteinbach-Kiliansberg and other nearby hamlets too numerous to mention. The immigrants settled in the area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a few in nearby Fulda, Ohio and Wheeling, West Virginia. If you have any connections to the Gartner family from the Flieden area of Hessen, I would be happy to hear from you, look for connections, and offer suggestions. Best of luck to you in your research.
