The Gartners that are your relatives, homesteaded in and about Fort Rice in morton county. Burleigh is not a town, but is a county next to Morton county. The missouri river separates the two. Burleigh county is East of the Missouri and Morton County is on the west side.

Paul Gartner was born in Illmitz, Austria, Dec. 14, 1875. He married Katherine Koppy in Wallern in 1910. They came to America in 1903. Paul Gartner died nov 24th, 1915. Mrs Gartner married Paul Lockner Nov.28,1916. Mr Lockner passed away Sept. 11, 1961.

I am not related to the Gartners or the Lockners. My Father, My Grandfather as well as Aunts and Uncles homesteaded in and about Fort Rice in 1903.
