I am starting the new year out with a refreshed posting for any new people on the fourm. I am searching for any connection to the Gareau name by way of Garrow,Gorer and Garrod. I know that some of them in Ogdensburg NY went by Garrow and some by Gorrow. I know that at sometime during the 1800s a Joseph Gareau (cir 1823/25) was also known by Joseph Garrow. He was married to a Marie Monet dit Boismenu (cir 1815/20 dau of Jean Baptiste/Margurite Lauzon) in Canada and had at least 5 children there. I have a death certificate for an Auxilda/Azilda Garrow Boyer with parents listed as Joseph and Louise Garrow. Would be interested in knowing more about her and spouse Joseph. Any help would be appreciated as I have hit a "brick wall" in my research in church records and census for any of them. Please feel free to e mail me direct as well as post for all to see.
