Hi Catherine,

Yes, we are cousins! My great-grandfather Francis Murison (1837-1901) married Margaret Garrow (1835-1897) in Banff in 1861. Margaret's parents were James Garrow and Margaret Booth, and she had a sister Isabella who married James Murison, Francis's brother.

James and Isabella emigrated to Canada, taking their children; one of whom was Margaret (a.k.a. Maggie B) who married the son of Isabella's brother William.

I emigrated to Canada in 1982 and by sheer coincidence live only three hours away from where James and Isabella settled. I am piecing together the Murison/Garrow connection and any help from a Booth descendant would be most welcome!
