Louise Garrow Raymond, my great-grandmother, was born 2 Jan 1860 in Georgia, Vt, married to Maxim Raymond (son of Luke Raymond & Louise Lanctot) 22 Oct 1876 in Swanton Vt, died 5 Jan 1922 in Rutland Vt. She was the mother of 18 children.
She was the daughter of Rose Martin, born 8 Sept 1836 in St.Damase Quebec & Charles Garrow born 22 Oct 1835 in Varennes, Vercheres Quebec. Rose & Charles were married 14 Aug 1855 in St.Albans Vt. He died 30 Jan 1912 in Rutland Vt.
Charles was a Civil War veteran.
His father was Michel Garrant, who married Pelagie Bousquet on 2 Feb 1819 in Varennes, Vercheres Quebec. Michel was the son of Joseph Garrant and Reine Neau. (This seems like an odd name for that time and place - maybe it was Marie Reine. I don't know about the 'Neau' it does not sound like a surname.

Thanks George
