Do you have dates or location?
My Garrity family was in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. But left there after 1871. I don't know where they ended up.

Catherine McQuaid and John Garrity. Catherine is the sibling of John McQuaid is not found in the Ontario 1871 Census records. I suspect they headed for the US with thier family. That then gives a reason why they are not buried in St. Mary's RC Cemetery with the other McQuaid family members in Kingston.
