Hi, Sue....I am researching my Garrisons who were in NC, in Rowan/Davidson Co and I am told were also in SC. The line is Paul Garrison who was in Augusta co., Va. by mid 1740s and married Margaret Donnally.I believe he was the Paul in Maryland who married Elizabeth Frazier in 1735.I am told the two of them were in Botetourt Co., Va.and later Paul was in Georgia. I have not personally found this information yet.Paul had sons Thomas, John and Paul for sure ...and perhaps Nehemiah, James and Stephan.
I was given information that perhaps the Osborne line is connected with my Garrisons and I saw a couple of emails you have written, besides this Garrison one...one to do with Osbournes and Hollmans. So I was hoping you would tell me how the Osbournes were connected to the Garrisons and if my Garrisons ring any bells with you. Paul Jr.'s line was in 1790 Pendleton Co., SC and then in Tennessee and Kentucky, at least.I did see a Paul and Margaret Garrison witnesses to a document in Camden, SC in 1780 something, 1783 I think...but so far nothing from that info.
Paul Jr.'s son Edmund went to Missouri and then to Arkansas..back to Missouri where they pretty much stayed the rest of their lives.
I do have Holmans and some of them were in Missouri although I have not traced them past Jasper Co.I know the Holmans had lots of names spellings so thought perhaps yours might be connected to them.
Hope to hear from you either here or my email address is martibd "at" aol.com
thanks, Sue!
Marti
