On pg 99 of an old book at Kenyon College library, an entry, 26 Oct 1831 Hassel GARRITSON seems to have been paid for 18.5 days of services. Such services seem to be related to wagons and horses, in collecting and transporting Seneca Indians and baggage to Dayton, Ohio (since do, for ditto is used after entry with a similar description). It appears that $37.00 was the amount expended by the War Department.
This entry is within a chart entitled, "Abstract of Expenditures by Henry C. Brish, Agent of emigrating Senecas, (of Sandusky,) et al. This header in the chart refers to "in removing said Indians from Seneca village, Ohio to St. Louis, Missouri."
[the title page: Document 512, Correspondence on the Subject of the Emigration of Indians Between the 30th November 1831 and 27th December 1833 with Abstracts of Expenditures by Disbursing Agents, et al, Vol. V, Wash. DC, Duff Green, 1835; but the spine: "Senate Documents, Indian Removals, 1833-34, Vol 11, #248]
