One of my distant cousins, Dixon Smith, did the DNA thing and the Garrison family we are from came from the same part of Germany yours did. I was told that there were two brothers that came to New Jersey in the early 1700's.
Do you have any information about why your ancester's came to America? Where in Germany is the area?
