Since I know the identity of the Paul Garrison, b. 1806, d. 1881, is my Paul Garrison, I am going to draw a conclusion as to the child who is buried in this second Garrison grave, "U. S. G. Garrison" obviously stands for Ulysses S. Grant Garrison. My Paul Garrison's son, Isham Paul Garrison, had a son named "Grant Garrison." For now, I am going to conclude that this boy is Grant Garrison, son of Isham Paul Garrison. It is known that at least one of Paul's sons fought on the side of the Union during the Civil War. He also had a son who fought on the Confederate side. "Brother against brother," as they say.
