Cassie..I dont know which Abner you describe who was a legistlator...and there are more Abners than just the one born in 1802ish...or mine which is 1814, 15.BUT that one is not mine.
Stone County is probably the Abner born in Virgnia in 1802ish..(I can't remember which boy was born which year..but three of them born between 1802 and I think 1806). I think I remember them being there. Is that one yours?
The one in Laclede County in the 1860s is MINE (my group of cousins, that is!).......BUT he was in Douglas Co. in I think the 1870s.....and bought land there.......and he was in Oregon County in 1850 census, but he went to Texas Co. during the 50s..where Buckner was living..and that is where his son Samuel was born and probably where Charity died. He married Sarah Jane before 1860.It appears he was in Lawrence Co. Ark for that census...then Laclede during the 60s and then theDouglas Co. count and I believe that he was in Benton Co. after that......BUT he is in counties in between censuses sometimes..like being in Texas Co. after
the Oregon County count and in Laclede after the Lawrence Co. count..
you are going to have to look at the birthdates and the wife's name, Cassie, to see who is whom. But the STone Co. one IS the one born in Va. I believe..
My (and my cousins') Abner is the one I described above who was a circuit minister and moved aroudn a lot. He is the brother to MY Buckner and to Isham and son of Edmund.
I don't know if I am clear as to what you know about your Abner...you can email me at [email protected] and I don't know if I can help you figure it out or not, but I will be willing to try, if you tell me whatyou know about him.
