The information on the link suggested to you is using discredited information re: the Duplin Co., NC Garrisons/Garrasons. The data was taken from an old newspaper article of the 30s that was in error. The article, and its contemporary "Ascertations.." by D.H.P. Garrison, have misled researchers for several generations. Both completely disregard Jedediah's obituary, written by his son, Levi, and VALIDATED civil records that contradict the "Our Yesterdays" article by A.T. Outlaw. A complete explanation and accurate portrayal is available in Garretson to Garrison (2002 edition) or in The Cape Fear Garrasons, and other works, by Sam Garrison and Calder Garrason, respectively. There is heavy documentation in all of the books produced by the team of family researchers who put these histories together. It is very difficult to transit the morass of Internet "genealogies" without running into these minefields. I hope this bit is helpful, Sam Garrison
