Although your remarks are indicative of Cherokees living in old NW VA; I submit you meant William's children married their "Cherokee" wives much further south. If you do have verifiable data that a Cherokee tribe or village existed in that section of old VA; please contact the Anthropology Departments, UVA and UMD. They will be delighted to share this important variation to known Cherokee parameters. Isn't it ironic how "us foot soldiers" often acquire knowledge that has been overlooked for decades?Good Job!Sam
