Articles of Agreement: Made and concluded upon this fourteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty-eight between Adam Geringer of Bethlehem Township in the County of Northampton in the State of Pennsylvania, Yoeman of the one art and Johannes Geringer of Bethlehem Township aforesaid Yoeman of the other part as followeh:first the said Adam Geringer for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds, lawful money of Pennsyylvania to be paid by him, the said Johannes Geringer as herinafter will be sxpressly stipulated and named Hath granted bargained and said and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Johannes Geringer his heirs and asigns asll that message of Tennenent and two contiguous tracts and pieces of Land (being part of the Honorable the late propriters of Pennsylvania, Manor Fermer, commonly called the Dry Land) situate lyin; and being in Bethleham Township aforsaid.Bounded and described as followeth, Viz: Eastward its other parts of the asid Dry Land, now or late in the possession of Ulrich Sleppy and Caleb Todd Southward with land in the possession of George Shorz and the heirs of Casper Wislar.Westward with the 500 acre tract of late Dr. Graime and northward with a 506 acre Tract located for Thomas Penn, the Part thereof contiguous hereto in the possession now or late of Martin Treible and John Dewalt: (It being the same two tracts of land which Nicholas Kress by Deed Poll bearing the date the seventeenth of February in the year One Thousand seven hundred and seventy, granted for the consideration therein mentioned unto the said Adam Geringer).Together with all and singular the buildings edifues (sic) Gardens, orchards, fields, meadows, waters, water courses, Tenniments and appurtenances and all the rents issues and profits thereof and all the Estate Right Title and interest of him the said Adam Geringer of in and to the same.To save and to hold, all the said messuage or Tennement and improvements made and erected in and upon the said recited two contiguous tracts of land, hereby grated or intended to be granted with the appartennces unto the said Johannes Geringer his heirs and asigns, to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Johannes Geringer his heirs and asigns.Under and subject to the payment of the principal the principal and interest now due for the said contiguous tracts of land to the Chief Lord or Lords of the Fee thereof. And the said Johannes Geringer for himself, his heirs Executors and administrators doth hereby convenant and agree to and with the said Adam Geringer his heirs and asigns that he the said Johannes Geringer and his heirs shall and will pay the said consideration sum of Two hundred pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania in manner and form following, that is to say: Twenty pounds part thereof (at or before the sealing and delivery hereof one hundred pounds part therof) unto Margaret Gereinger, immediately after the decease of the said Adam Geringer and thirty pounds residue of the said two hundred pounds to the children of Anna Mary Sleppy, daughter of the said Adam Geringer or to be paid to and divided amont them, share and share alike when they shall come to their lawful age and shall demand the same.In witness whereof the Parties to these present have interchangeably set their hands and seals hereunto on the day and year written.Adam Geringer his X mark (seal) Johannes Geringer (LS). Sealed and delived in the presence of us -- /Gorg Shorz--John Hass--Northampton Co.On the twenty-second day of November Anno Domini 1791.Before me, Jno. Herster, Esq. one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the County came the above named John Hasse of Bethlehem in the said County etc and upon his solomn affirmation according to the law did declare and say that he was present and saw the above named Adam Geringer sign his mark and the said Johannes Geringer subscribe his name to the above articles of agreement and that the said Adam and Johannes sealed and as their act and delivered the same.Witness my had and seal on the day and year aforesaid
